Post-Pandemic Legal Landscape:
Challenges and Trends in the In-House Counsel Community
In 2024, the Legal Management Council of Philippines (LMCP) hosted the “2024 Asia Pacific Corporate Counsel Alliance (APCCA) Regional Conference” which was held for the first time in the Philippines on September 19 - 20, 2024 at the Shangri-la The Fort in BGC, Taguig City.
The APCCA Regional Conference brought together leading in-house counsels and law professionals and key representatives from multinationals, conglomerates, banking institutions, law firms, and other business enterprises from various industries, coming from APCCA’s member in-house counsel organisations.
In addition to a round-table discussion to update the audience and APCCA members on common issues faced by in-house lawyers and the in-house counsel association in each jurisdiction (given the recent challenges encountered post-pandemic), the topics covered during the 2-day conference were:
Compliance, Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Issues in the Era of Online Transactions, Social Media, Generative AI and Growing Technological Innovation.
ESG Governance Trends and Legislation
Post-pandemic Dispute Resolution Mechanisms
Employment Issues and In-House Department Working Model Challenges
